Best Publication Award
Dr.S.B.Hosamani Head, Agri Business & Export Knowledge Centre, UAS, Dharwad has been awarded the Best Publication Award for the year 2006 in appreciation and recognisation of his kannada publication relating to Agricultural Marketing. The award was instituted by the Karnataka State Agricultural Marketing Board, Bangalore and presented to Dr.Hosamani recently in the function by Sri.Selvakumar ,IAS, Director, Department of Agricultural Marketing, Govt of Karnataka, Bangalore. He has already bagged the Rockefellar award, World Bank award, Incentive award and many other awards.

Postponement of Pomegranate Seminar
A state level seminar on “Prospects of Quality Pomegranate Production and Marketing in Karnataka” which was scheduled during December 17th to 20th, 2007 by the Agri Business & Export Knowledge Centre at University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad has been postponed to 26th – 28th February, 2008 due to unavoidable circumstances. The inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.
